Refund Policy – City Event

City Event acts as a technology platform that facilitates event discovery, ticket booking, and payment processing on behalf of event organizers. Refunds are governed by the terms below:

1. Event Cancellation

If an event is cancelled by the organizer, customers are eligible for a full refund of the ticket amount paid, excluding any non-refundable taxes or payment gateway charges (if applicable). Refunds will be processed to the original mode of payment within 7–10 working days.

2. Event Postponement / Rescheduling

In case an event is rescheduled, tickets will remain valid for the new date.

  • If the customer is unable to attend the rescheduled event, a refund may be provided only if the organizer approves refunds for that event.
  • City Event will communicate the applicable options via email/SMS/WhatsApp.

3. No Refund on Customer-Initiated Cancellations

Once a ticket is booked, no refunds, cancellations, or exchanges are permitted for reasons including but not limited to change of plans, personal inconvenience, or no-show, unless explicitly mentioned on the event page.

4. Event Partially Conducted / Force Majeure

No refunds will be issued if the event is partially conducted or disrupted due to force majeure circumstances, including but not limited to weather conditions, government restrictions, natural disasters, or technical issues beyond the control of City Event or the organizer.

5. Duplicate or Failed Transactions

If a customer is charged multiple times or a transaction fails but the amount is debited, the excess amount will be automatically refunded within 5–7 working days after verification.

6. Organizer Responsibility

Refund eligibility and approval are primarily determined by the event organizer’s refund policy. City Event only facilitates the refund process once approval is received from the organizer.

7. Processing Fees

Payment gateway charges, platform convenience fees, or taxes may be non-refundable, unless required otherwise by law.

8. Contact & Support

For refund-related queries, customers may contact City Event support with booking details. All refund requests are reviewed on a case-by-case basis in accordance with this policy.
